Human Normal M1 Macrophages

Human M1 macrophages were differentiated from primary monocytes that were isolated form peripheral blood by negative immunomagnetic selection. Monocytes were differentiated for 5 days in serum-free culture media supplemented with macrophage colony-stimulating factor including a 2 day stimulation with lipopolysaccharide and interferon-gamma. Cells are sourced from healthy donors from world-renowned blood institutions using Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved consent forms and protocols. Donors are screened for HIV-1, HIV-2, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, human T-lymphotropic virus, syphilis, Chagas and West Nile virus.
